Antonia earned her MSc in Biochemistry from the Julius-Maximilians-Universit盲t in W眉rzburg. She then completed her PhD in the laboratory of Karsten Hiller at the Technische Universit盲t Braunschweig, where she investigated metabolic changes in pro-inflammatory macrophages, with a particular focus on mitochondrial function.
In 2025, she joined the Trefely lab as a Postdoctoral 51在线er, where her work centres on the acute metabolic and epigenetic effects of nutrient intake and short-chain fatty acids in hepatocytes.
