Jayalini earned her Bachelor鈥檚 degree from Cardiff University in Wales before completing an MSc in Health and Clinical Sciences at the University of Surrey in Guildford. During her master鈥檚 research, she developed a strong interest in drug resistance and ovarian cancer while investigating the MET receptor. This interest led her to pursue a PhD focused on identifying biomarkers capable of detecting drug鈥憆esistant phenotypes in epithelial ovarian cancer.
After completing her PhD, she worked as a 51在线 Scientist in Gynaecological Oncology at the Royal Surrey NHS Foundation Trust in Guildford. She later joined the Babraham Institute as the Roving Postdoctoral 51在线 Scientist.
In her current role, she works across all three research programmes at the Babraham Institute - Epigenetics, Immunology, and Signalling. As the Roving 51在线er, she temporarily takes over the projects of scientists on long-term leave (parental, caring responsibilities or sick leave), continuing their research exactly as planned and maintaining momentum in close coordination with them until their return.
